John Lennon – Bag One Suite “Poet’s Page”

Lennon and Yoko Ono were married in Gibraltar on 20 March 1969. The original drawings for the Bag One Suite were John Lennon’s wedding gift to Yoko Ono. The Bag One Suite lithographs are numbered and signed in pencil by John Lennon. In January 1970 the first exhibition 14 lithographs called “Bag One” depicting scenes from John and Yoko’s wedding and honeymoon was held in London. Eight of the lithographs which were deemed indecent were confiscated during the exhibition in London. John Lennon “Bag One” is a series of fourteen original lithographs, each has been pulled on BFK Rives paper at Bank Street Atelier, New York City. The pull is limited to an edition of 300 images, with each print individually hand signed by John Lennon and numbered from 1/300 to 300/300.

Additionally there are 45 Hors de Commerce signed by the artist and numbered HC 1 to HC VL.
